Μια αλλαντοποιία στην Ευρυτανία συναγωνίζεται τους Ιταλούς στο πιο νόστιμο προσούτο

Το Προσιούτο (προσούτο) παράγεται από ειδικά επιλεγμένα ελληνικά χοιρομέρια, επεξεργασμένο με τον παραδοσιακό τρόπο της Πάρμας και τις παραδόσεις της Ευρυτανίας. Ωριμάζει για 12 μήνες σε ιδανικό περιβάλλον μέσα στα έλατα, στα βουνά της Ευρυτανίας.

Μπορεί να έχει κυριαρχήσει η ιταλική του ονομασία, ωστόσο το αρχαιοελληνικό «Ακροκώλιον», δηλαδή το αλατισμένο χοιρινό μπούτι συγκαταλλέγεται στα πιο «παλιά» αλλαντοπαρασκευάσματα της Ελλάδας.

Το κλίμα στον Προυσό άλλωστε, θεωρείται εξαιρετικό για την παραγωγή αλλαντικών.

Συνδυασμένο δε με τα διαλεχτής ποιότητας ντόπια κρέατα που χρησιμοποιεί το αλλαντοποιείο Στρεμμένου, καθώς και τον παραδοσιακό, χειροποίητο τρόπο παρασκευής, δίνουν ένα πραγματικά θαυμαστό ελληνικό παραδοσιακό αλλαντικό, προϊόν φυσικής ωρίμανσης.
