Τα φιστίκια της Αμμουδιάς στην περιοχή των Σερρών ήταν ανέκαθεν ένα τοπικό προϊόν ιδιαίτερης αξίας για την περιοχή αν και η παραγωγή του είχε εκλείψει τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες. Ο Χρήστος Aγριανίδης ξεκίνησε πριν από 15 χρόνια περίπου να ψήνει φιστίκια σε έναν μικρό φούρνο και η προσπάθεια του αυτή ευοδώθηκε.
Έτσι έπεισε και άλλους αγρότες της περιοχής να αναβιώσουν την καλλιέργεια φιστικιού στην περιοχή.
Το αμμώδες υπέδαφος της περιοχής, κοντά στην λίμνη Κερκίνη, είναι ιδανικό για την καλλιέργεια της ποικιλίας Arachis hypogaea μια πολύ γευστική ποικιλία φιστικιού.
